Organic Skincare by Green Bubble Gorgeous

I can't believe I have waited this long to post about these awesome products!
Sorry about the delay, but honestly, I have put this stuff to the test
and can now report that it is a.maz.ing.

SMALL BATCH ORGANIC

NATURAL INGREDIENTS ...YOU CAN ACTUALLY PRONOUNCE!

PARABIN FREE

I first heard about Green Bubble Gorgeous through Happy Mommy Box.

I had literally just received the December box in the mail when my mom
asked me to check out a craft fair with her in town.

It's a crazy small world 'yall because Green Bubble was there!
I knew nothing about the company at the time, other than
the fact that I had just received some products in my box
and when I had opened the lid, my sinus instantly cleared out thanks

My mom and I instantly got excited and started finishing off our
Christmas lists with Green Bubble products.
Krystal is so sweet.
She is a a chef turned soap artisan.
In her own words:
"Chef gone soap crazy is the easiest way to describe myself. Growing up on a big family farm has always taught me that most often smaller batch homemade products are probably the finest in life. Much better than store bought, commercially processed, preservative and chemical filled. Being a Green Chef of the natural and organic food scene, I am always looking for new routes of creativeness for my natural life style. I realized what harsh chemicals and additives are in all the beauty products we all like and thought I can make it better for you, me and the environment and be creative at the same time. So, Chef by day, Soap Artisan by night, I begin a new journey in life."

I left with a bag full of products to give as gifts,
as well as samples to try and some to give away!

Now onto some gross BEFORE pictures of my skin... are you ready?

These are my Winter hands. without fail, as soon as the weather turns cold and windy, my hands turn red, dry, itchy and cut open. I usually have permanent cuts at the ends of my fingers and my thumbs are cracked open and bleeding. This is just the way it is until around May.

On top of this, I am super self contentious of the way my hands look anyway.
I am no hand model. But looking like this makes it even worse.

As you may know, my son has battled horrible eczema  since he was born. There are very lotions and creams that he can use without causing him horrible burning pain and itching.

This is Taylor's skin on a bad day...

Here's a picture I just took of my hands as I sit here at the computer!
Waaay better and ABSOLUTELY NO SPLITS!
In fact, since using Green Bubble Products, I have had no fingers split open.

THIS IS THE PRODUCT I'VE BEEN USING

I had never used a "lotion bar" before...
The idea seemed kind of odd actually, until I tried it!

I actually rub it in my hands like I would a bar of soap and my body temperature works to soften it up. I am not a huge fan of lavender scented stuff, so I guess I should have tried a different scent. If you like lavender then I'm sure you'd love it. I think I may buy the Cocoa Butter and Ginger Lime next! I keep this by my bed side and use it every night before bed. I prefer it at night time vs. during the day.

My son who has SUPER SENSITIVE SKIN
is also able to take this bar and rub it all over his body
without any reactions or painful stinging.

I would compare the lotion bars to Burt's Bees Hand Salve, which I also like. They have a similar scent and consistency. They are also a similar price. BUT don't you just love the idea of supporting a small, home business? I love that Krystal is a hard working, inspiring woman that is personally creating quality products you can use with confidence. She creates things in small batches so she doesn't have to include at complicated list of ingredients and preservatives. Please visit her at her Etsy Sore

Book Review and Giveaway: 1,000 Creative Writing Prompts

Writing Prompts for Budding Writers

by Bryan Cohen

I'm coming to the last few days of a 30-day blog tour here with my post at All Things With Purpose. I've been indirectly promoting my new book of 1,000 writing prompts, which brings me up to the publication of approximately 5,500 prompts. This includes books on writing about the seasons, the holidays, creating characters and much more.

Trying to get the word out in any profession is difficult and tedious. I've worked hard to write more than 30 unique posts in the past month in an effort to find new readers and fans. This would be completely exhausting if I was simply going for money or blogosphere fame. The truth of the matter is it's exciting to see writers young and old make my prompts a part of their writing process.

I've heard from teachers and parents alike about how they've used my prompts to inspire their students and children. I've gotten feedback from authors who took the prompts to create stories, songs and a full-length novel. I've even received word from people using my prompts as conversation starters at a party. Hey, whatever floats their boat, right?

I don't always love promoting myself and my work, but I'm the most productive and successful when I believe in what I'm selling. I've seen these prompts do a lot of good. I hope they'll continue to do so for years to come. Thanks for following along with my tour!

Here are a few writing prompt freebees:

1. During a walk around the block, you have stumbled upon a bottomless bag of presents with an unlimited number of gifts inside. What will you do with this powerful sack and why?

2. Imagine that the snow from a winter storm was so strong that it knocked over neighborhood trees into your power lines. What would your family do with no power in the middle of the coldest season?

3. The perfect hot chocolate is much better than a cocoa mix package combined with hot water. What other treats would you put into your ideal hot chocolate to heat you up after a long day of playing? Would your parents approve of your recipe? Why or why not?

Lilla Rose Giveaway

Enter to Win!!!!!

I feel like a "real" blogger. My friend Rachel contacted me about doing a promo for her new business venture as an independent consultant for Lilla Rose. She very graciously sent me one of her products to put to the test - and I have to say, I loved it!
I tried out the Sparkling Silver Headband on an 80 degree day at the zoo. I knew it would be really hot, so I threw my hair up and dressed for comfort. The Lilla Rose Hair Band was the perfect accessory to add just a little sparkle to my boring outfit.

According to Rachel, the Flexi Clip is their biggest seller, but I instantly could see myself utilizing the Hair Band more often. I have to say, the real test for any head band is how well it stays in place. This baby really did. Despite the sweat, it stayed perfectly in place all day long. I was even able to wear sun glasses along with it, without it feeling weird.
